On Tuesday January 13th, at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Infiniti unveiled a striking new vision of a premium sports coupé: the Q60 Concept.
Fusing stunning looks with exhilarating speed, the Q60 Concept is set to delight coupé fans with its sharp contours and handcrafted interior.
And design inspiration is subtly evident throughout. The audaciously low roofline and quilted leather seats nod to the elegant full-size Infiniti Q80 Inspiration – revealed last October in Paris – while the aerodynamic gills behind the front wheel arches are shared with the Q50 Eau Rouge sports sedan concept.
“The Q80 Inspiration was an indication of Infiniti’s future design language,” said Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti Executive Design Director. “The Q60 Concept is the next step in the journey. “The sweeping lines of the Q80 Inspiration gave the Q60 Concept its coupé silhouette and looks with its sports personality.”
Meticulous attention to detail is a large part of what makes the Q60 special. Custom 21-inch wheels dominate the wheel arches, with black spokes – inspired by jet turbine blades – in matt and chrome, stretching to the edge of the wheel. Inside, a variety of hand-stitched leathers provide the perfect balance of comfort and support, while rear passengers enjoy more legroom thanks to genuine sport seats in a 2+2 configuration.
Conceived and built without compromise, the Infiniti Q60 Concept promises exceptional dynamics and driving pleasure. This is a coupé with the power to captivate.
